Prove age.
Keep nothing.

Hosted age assurance for sites captured by Australia’s online-safety laws. Your users verify with a facial age estimate, ID, or card check — analysed in seconds, then the image is deleted for good.

How it works

One integration, from session to signed result.

Redirect users to a hosted link or open it from a 1 kB JavaScript SDK. Either way, it’s three steps — and minutes to wire up.

  1. 01

    Create a session

Call the REST API or drop in the redirect. Set the required age — 16 or 18 — and where to send the user back.

  2. 02

    The user verifies

They complete a facial age estimate, ID, or card check in a hosted flow you can brand. An inconclusive estimate escalates automatically.

  3. 03

    You get the result

A signed webhook and a redirect deliver the outcome and confidence band. You store the result; we store nothing that identifies anyone.

Verification methods

Pick the assurance level each check needs.

Facial age estimation is the flagship for fast 16+/18+ checks. Step up to ID for high assurance, or add a card check as a supplementary 18+ signal.

Flagship · 16+/18+

Facial age estimation

Estimates whether a face meets a 16+ or 18+ threshold from a quick selfie. Fast, and no document required.

High assurance

ID document check

Checks a government-issued document when you need a stronger level of assurance than an estimate.

18+ · supplementary

Credit card check

A card authorisation as supplementary 18+ evidence. It suggests an adult cardholder — best paired with another method.

Digital ID

Verify with ConnectID or myID using Australia’s digital identity framework. On the roadmap.

Escalation waterfall

One session, no dead ends.

When a facial estimate lands too close to the threshold to call, the same session offers a stronger method automatically. The user never restarts, and you integrate once.

Zero retention

We look, decide, then forget.

Every check runs in AWS Sydney. Images and inputs are analysed and permanently deleted within seconds — a 24-hour lifecycle rule is only a backstop. The one record we keep can’t identify anyone.

Australian context

Built for the rules you have to meet.

Two regimes are driving age assurance across Australian sites. Here’s the plain-English version.

Social media minimum age

Keeping under-16s off age-restricted platforms

The Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024 requires age-restricted social media platforms to take reasonable steps to prevent under-16s from holding accounts. It has been in force since December 2025.

eSafety industry codes

18+ assurance for high-impact material

eSafety’s industry codes require 18+ age assurance for pornography and other high-impact material, with compliance dates landing through 2026. Both regimes look for “reasonable steps”-grade checks.
