Is facial age estimation exact?

No. It estimates an age range, so a result near a 16+ or 18+ threshold carries a margin of error. That is exactly why an inconclusive estimate escalates to a stronger check in the same session, rather than guessing.

Can a credit-card check verify age on its own?

No. A card check is supplementary 18+ evidence only — it suggests an adult cardholder, not a verified age, and it never applies to 16+ checks. Use it alongside another method rather than as your sole signal.

What do my users actually see?

A hosted, optionally branded flow: a short explanation, then a selfie, document, or card step. If a method is inconclusive, they are offered an alternative in the same session — they never start over.

What do you store about my users?

The method used, the outcome, a confidence band, and timestamps. Never the image, date of birth, name, or document number. Images are analysed and permanently deleted within seconds, with a 24-hour lifecycle rule as a backstop.

Where is verification processed?

Entirely within AWS's Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). Nothing that could identify a user is retained after a check completes.

How is usage counted and billed?

Each completed verification counts once against the included quota for its method. Beyond the included amount, you pay the per-verification overage rate for that method. Simulated verifications in test mode never count and are always free.

How long does integration take?

Minutes. Redirect users to a hosted link, or drop in a ~1 kB JavaScript SDK that opens the flow in a popup. Build and test the whole thing in free, unlimited test mode before you pay anything.
