Terms of service
These terms will govern use of AgeAssure by the businesses that integrate it. They are drafted here as structured groundwork and are not yet final.
Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel. This page is placeholder copy that will be replaced with final, reviewed terms before launch. Do not rely on it.
01The service
AgeAssure provides age-assurance technology: a hosted verification flow, a REST API, and webhooks that let a customer check whether a user meets a 16+ or 18+ threshold using facial age estimation, ID document checks, or card checks.
02Your responsibilities
You are responsible for determining which age-assurance obligations apply to your service and for configuring checks accordingly. AgeAssure provides technology, not legal advice; confirm your specific obligations with your legal adviser.
03Acceptable use
You may not use AgeAssure to unlawfully collect or process personal information, to circumvent the privacy protections built into the service, or in any way that breaches applicable law. End users must be presented with the verification flow fairly and transparently.
04Test mode and fees
Test mode runs simulated verifications for free and without limit; it performs no real age assurance. Live usage is billed per your plan: a monthly base fee plus per-method overage beyond the included quotas set out on the pricing page.
05Availability
We aim to keep the service available and performant, but it is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. Any specific availability commitments will be set out in a separate service-level agreement where applicable.
06Liability
To the extent permitted by law, AgeAssure’s liability is limited, and we are not liable for a customer’s own compliance determinations. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
07Changes
We may update these terms as the product and its regulatory context evolve. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect. The final, reviewed version will replace this draft before launch.
